“Do you believe in the Son of Man?” Jesus wants us to put every ounce of our trust in him—and our vision will deepen. This in many ways is the heart of the matter:
De-center your ego and re-center it on Christ.
And now that you see, believe!”
Too often, personal egos self inflate resembling a grotesque ogre. The reflection of self grows and consumes everything and everyone trying to save them from themselves. Sometimes, the intervention succeeds, other times it does not. Eventually, that overinflated sense of superiority ruptures into a mess with no one left to clean it up. Why go through all that? Why not interact with all generations as Jesus would; fairly, lovingly, justifiably. Why not see each other as equals regardless of gender, color, class or dialect. Why not help bring each other to the same playing field? We should rethink self and act as other, in particular, Jesus. He had it right.
