Someone, about 30 yrs my senior, told me that he knows many facts about Catholicism and many understandings within the Bible.  However, he asked me, how does one go about having a relationship with God – because He wasn’t certain he had one.  I told him that to begin any relationship there must be communication.  Therefore, start with prayer.  Begin just by asking “Dear God, I want to have a relationship with you but I don’t know how. What do I do?” It’s that easy.  Pray always, with everything on your heart and mind. I also told him to be sure to Listen to His responses – it could come from anywhere.  I also said, maybe you are just not recognizing the relationship you do have.  In that case, Pray for insight in order to notice Him moving within your life.  Once you see, you can’t unsee. It’s awesome.
