For those loved ones left behind, God gives us hope of eternal life. For those who have died, God gave Himself.

Here is yet another comforting take on that beginning: A Benedictine Priest – Bede Griffith’s short video reflecting on death described the positive side of death with the prospect of an “unconditional love that awaits.”  How wonderfully stated.  

We’ve heard many times of returning home to our maker. It would be as if we were on a very long journey and finally get to return home to the awaiting arms of a loving parent.  In this case, that parent, is God.
