…Staring At The Sun

I recently heard that God could be described as the sun.  The sun sends us warmth and life -giving light but if we went into it we would be consumed.  Because of our nature, we may not behold The Face of the Father physically, but He is with us, He is within us and He is around us.

As I sat in my new swivel chair by the living room window, I could feel the warmth of the setting sun shining it’s rays onto my shoulders. I turned my look upwards to witness the beautiful sunburst filtering between the tree limbs outside. I always love seeing the sun shining through windows, it’s warm glow of color bathing the interior room.  It is peaceful and comforting. While relaxing, I quietly gazed at the sunlight silently chatting with God. As I went along in my heart, the sun shone brighter at times, then dimmed. I wondered if those moments were of God acknowledging my prayer with perhaps a nod or two. I liked the conceptual tap on the shoulder today to look up at the enormity of His Power allowing me a moment to give praise and thanks for this day in my humble life.
