Perhaps one of the reasons why we as Christians only take our relationship with God so far is it becomes uncomfortable.  We become shamefully aware of our choices or thoughts that definitely could have been better. We may try to negotiate, minimize or rationalize our behaviors, but once our eyes are open to what our heart already knows to be true, it’s hard to unsee. We must face the truth of our actions.  We cannot unlearn what God is teaching us.

Becoming more Christian or “Christ-like” is our goal. We know we are making strides when we are uncomfortable with mediocrity.  We feel we can do so much more in God’s name. The desire to partake in His mission floods our brains. When that occurs, it is because His grace is making us more aware of His truth and prompting us to continue onward and upward.  We must have comfort that we are doing exactly what He needs us to do. There is nothing small in service of God. Have courage and learn from Him.
