…Double Edged Sword

During Easter Mass, the priest was making the distinctions between the two sides of the elements of fire and water. Each are necessary basic elements that offer life and death.  Each one can either be life or death.

Fire  – On one side, fire can cause death and destruction but on the other side fire can be a survival tool.

Water – On one side, water can flood and cause death but on the other side water is needed to survive.

I thought about the Cross and the basic elements that it offers. Life and Death.

Holy Cross – On one side, the Holy Cross is sacrifice and death but on the other side resurrection and eternal life.

As baptized Christians, we will pass through death, like Christ, in order to rise with Him in eternal life.

Kyrie Eleison,
