About

“Where Are You Today, Lord?” began as a project for college graduation. It is a personal daily journal chronicling the search for, developing the awareness and the understanding of, recognizing and encountering Christ in our daily lives. From subtle to obvious, we are immersed in His presence. It is our delight to recognize these moments especially when we heed His response of “I AM here.”

My theological concentration has been in identifying and understanding God’s loving relationship with His people. When we focus on our intimate earthly relationships, we are privy to nonverbal communication brought about by a bond between two people. It is the same with our relationship with God. We are building a relationship with Him through prayer, sacraments and grace. We do not have to wait until death to see God because He is present. He is all around us and within us. God lies deep within our heart and permeates our soul. If we choose to, we can see Him protecting, guiding and loving us with a full acceptance of trust. We begin to understand the paths He has chosen for us. Those with faith have the ability to see God now within their daily lives; all we need to do is become aware, take notice and listen with our heart. As Christians, we are called to seek God hidden within our lives and to develop a deeper consciousness of His presence.

The nature of these reflections is recognizing, through faith, the presence of God, whether in physical, mental, intellectual or spiritual form. Through contemplation, reflection and discernment, an encounter is identified and a moment defined that could lead to a deeper awareness of Christ which is explored in writing. An accompanying Biblical Scripture is also selected to further illumine the intimate message and experience.

I hope you will find that God has never left us and is, in fact, with us always. He yearns to be reflected back in the eyes of all those He loves unconditionally, which is everyone, everywhere.
